Sixteen pieces, hung in one room.
Each one starts as a used cask or a plank of solid oak. Sizes and finishes are made to order, so nothing here is a fixed catalogue item. Open any frame for a closer look.
Courses
Material
Used casks, solid oak.
Wine casks from Bekaa cellars, plus solid oak boards for the pieces a cask can't make.
Hardware
The original hoops.
Original iron hoops wherever they survive the cut; new steel banding where they don't.
Finish
Oiled, waxed or sealed.
Indoor pieces are oiled and waxed. Outdoor pieces get a marine-grade finish for the valley's summers.
